After several days of sailing the lumps and bumps at The Dip/Felixstowe I decided to give Levington a go.It's the tidal R.Orwell just inland of Felixstowe Docks and is my closest 'flat' water venue,if you can call river chop flat !!! I arrived after dinner at about mid-tide and as with all inland spots the wind was gusting between 17 and 25 kts so went for the 6.4 which I rigged on a 4.30 as I broke my 4.60 yesterday and it seemed okay!!! I had a really good afternoon breaking lots of pb's with the best water right in the bay but it was abit scary in the chop in the middle of the river.I did manage a 3 mile trip up river to Pin Mill which is not bad on a 90 lt board in gusty winds !!!
